A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

This was an A-Level Computer Science Project I have decided to continue developing following its submission. This is posted on here so people can easily download and test the game as I continue to update it.

Please ensure you have read both  of the "Installation Instructions.pdf" and "README.pdf" files before playing - this includes information on how to install the game, supported hardware and software and how to use every feature this game has. Patch Notes are an optional read - this just highlights any major changes in the latest version.

To stay up-to-date, I recommend using the Itch App which will automatically update the game as soon as updates are released. It also massively simplifies the installation process. Linked here: https://itch.io/app

Install instructions

Using the Itch App  (Recommended):

Using the Itch App - You will need to have the Itch App installed if you haven't already. (https://itch.io/app). Navigate to this page on the app. You will only need to download  "Cosmic Odyssey.zip" from this page, nothing else. Press 'Install' and you will be able to launch Cosmic Odyssey as soon as it's installed.

Using this method simplifies the installation process massively and it also automatically updates the game for you as soon as a new version is released. This is supported for both Windows and Linux.

Not Using the Itch App:

Windows Users - Please download "Cosmic Odyssey.zip", "Cosmic Odyssey Installer Windows 1.2.exe" and "Installation Instructions.pdf".

Linux Users - Please download both  "Cosmic Odyssey.zip" and "Installation Instructions.pdf". There is not yet  an installer available for you to use.

See "Installation Instructions.pdf" for further instructions.

Please Note: Not using the Itch App will mean you will be required to manually install updates each time a newer version is released.
